Vector was sensible in 2010 now ... Well someone keeps trying to trick us n force us as Christopher Columbus did am. Indians and CPT cook tried to do to native Hawaiian residents. Cancel vector! No!

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with discount on future orders. Very nice woman called and resolved the issue better than I had hoped.

It's always interesting to note how so many consumers *** about a company to which they owed money. They take no responsibility for their actions or inaction; it's always the company's fault. It's time to grow up, children!
Do not use Vector Security
- - Company focuses on business customers, not home users.
- - A 5-year customer had no follow-up; upgrade ignored; termination caused billing/collections.
Based on research and and review of posted comments the company appears to be oriented towards providing the best support to businesses and not to home (perosnal) users. I was a customer for over 5 years,and had no follow-up from company during the service period.
I wanted to upgrade the existing system to enable internet/smart phone access. Spoke to a rep soliciting business in the neighborhood, but he was non-responsive, more interested in signing up new accounts. A security systems competitor stopped by that was in the neighborhood and after careful review decided to go with the company he represented, spoke to several people and they have excellent customer service and support. Be forwarned, prepare for run arounds, no return calls, when you try to end your service with Vector Home Security.
I had to Google
a fax number and submit a service termination letter since there was no response. Then I received a monthly bill, called the local number for customer service and informed to ignore the bill and I will receive the final bill.
Instead a week later I received a bill collections letter instead from an office in a different state indicating I was in default of the contract. The service was terminated and a final payment for the duration of the contract (4 months of service) was due because the contract was automatically renewed by the company.
Vector Security- BAD customer service

Scott at Vector Security in Birmingham, AL is very mean, condescending, and very pushy! Calls constantly.
I avoided his calls for a week due to being on vacation and when I finally spoke with him and told him I'm not interested at this time he tells me I don't have to worry about avoiding his calls anymore. I the asked him to take me off his call list and he throws a tantrum about this is how he provides for his family, and that I should have called him back and answered his calls. He is completely out of touch with reality and does not realize that a potential customer doesn't owe him anything. After going off on me for a full minute he the rudely apologized and said he has had a death in the family and he has to provide for his family....
So no real apology... Very unprofessional!! Also, Scott, I've never had any trouble with ADT's service.
They've been great and easily understandable when I've spoken with them. You completely lie to customers about that.

Is RESOLVED
Wrote is was resolved too soon. Contract is up 7/23 and was supposed to receive an addendum to the contract with a discount on the monthly fee.
Received neither.
Called customer service but on hold for 10 minutes with no answer. If I don’t hear today will cancel the alarm.
